About Us
Make Ventures (MAKE) is a Melbourne based property development and strategic investment company.
We invest in innovative precincts that assist in meeting long-term community needs across various assets classes including residential, commercial, retail, build to rent, health, aged care, employment and accommodation.
Founded in 2014, MAKE has significant expertise across the Australian property market. Our leadership and experience enables us to look through the complex development process, adding value and providing superior outcomes that meet the objectives and expectations of our stakeholders.
Our business is the parent of Assemble – a development and community management business focused on delivery of affordable housing.
Today, MAKE has $10 million in working capital in Assemble, and has oversight of a $3 billion portfolio of residential and commercial assets across Victoria, Western Australia and Queensland.
Our Partners
Relationships play a key part in our success, and we strategically partner and collaborate with those who share our values to realise each project.
Assemble Communities
We partner on opportunities with Assemble Communities – an affordable Build to Rent housing development and community management company.
Assemble is focused on delivering quality, sustainable and affordable housing solutions through its innovative Assemble Futures housing model (known as Build to Rent to Own) and pipeline of Build to Rent developments.
MAKE acquired the business in 2018 and today we are a majority owner. We are proud to invest in Assemble alongside the nation’s largest industry superannuation fund, AustralianSuper, who took a cornerstone investment in Assemble in June 2020.
Our strategic investment allows Assemble to deliver its rental housing portfolio valued at $3 billion, featuring 5,000 dwellings across 10 sites in Victoria alone which offers secure long-term affordable housing options, plus future sites in Queensland and Western Australia.
Assemble is committed to delivering some 3,300 social housing dwellings across its key Build to Rent developments with community housing provider, Housing Choices Australia, targeting low- and moderate-income households.
Currently, Assemble is seeking opportunities to expand into Australian capital cities, and New Zealand.
